Remembering to say “Thank You”

Thank you card

Remember to say thank you

I was having lunch this week with a client and we talked about the lost art of thank you notes and gifts. Not that many years ago, it was common to send a thank you card or small gift after every meeting, dinner, party, or just to recognize a kind gesture. We all love to be appreciated and to receive a special something from time to time, so why has it become to difficult to find a few minutes in our day to be courteous and show our appreciation to others? We keep those special notes for years and reference them often, yet we do not make the effort many times to do the same for someone else…

I love owning a gift company and seeing the reaction from people accepting a thoughtful thank you gift from others…there is no better feeling than in that moment! Please join me in slowing down enough to write a simple thinking of you, thank you for being you, or just because note to someone this week. You will love the feeling and they will love the gesture!

  • I am so glad you mentioned this! I feel that thank you notes are a very special way to show someone how much you truly appreciate their kindness. I actually just recently designed a thank you greeting card on my new etsy shop: http://www.dreamtravelart.etsy.com and I plan on designing several more. It really is something special when you take the time to say thank you.

Good for you, Lisa. Creative people make the world a happy place don’t we? I love sending our baskets to folks and seeing their reaction when they open the door! It is the best! The small gestures make the world better than we found it and it’s not that complicated to do! Thanks for the comment!

  • Life’s simple pleasures are to be found in the little courtesies we pay to each other.
